Why we built SundMo

Sometimes we find a good book, but it's written in a language we don't understand. That simple frustration is why SundMo exists — to close the gap between readers and the books they want to read, regardless of the language those books were written in.

Millions of great stories, textbooks, and documents never reach the people who need them simply because of a language barrier. SundMo combines AI-powered translation with a reading experience built specifically for books: chapters stay intact, formatting is preserved, and you can read the translated version side-by-side with the original.

What we're building

SundMo started as a web translator for EPUB and PDF files, and is growing into a full reading companion — with apps for desktop and mobile, a built-in document reader, and tools that help you keep a library of translated books you can revisit anytime.

Our approach

We care about accuracy and readability, not just word-for-word conversion. That means preserving a book's structure — chapters, headings, and formatting — so the translated version still feels like a real book, not a wall of machine-translated text.
